In seasons of waiting, one of the hardest challenges is the uncertainty. Not knowing if or when God’s promises will come to pass can feel overwhelming. We often wonder, “Will this ever happen?” or “Am I waiting for something that may never come?” But in these moments of doubt, we need to remember that God is not limited by human circumstances or time. His very nature is miraculous, and His name is Impossible.
When we feel that something is beyond our reach or out of the realm of possibility, we must hold onto the truth that “with God everything is possible” (Matthew 19:26). What may seem impossible by human standards is fully within God’s power. His ability to work miracles is not constrained by our understanding of how or when things should happen.
The God of Miracles
Throughout Scripture, we see a God who delights in doing the impossible. He parted the Red Sea for the Israelites when they were trapped by the Egyptians. He brought life to Sarah’s barren womb, giving her a son long after she thought it was possible. He raised Lazarus from the dead, showing that even death itself cannot stand in the way of His power.
In my own life, as I wait for the return of the love of my life, I am often reminded of the God who works miracles. Even when the situation seems hopeless or beyond repair, I am comforted by the knowledge that God can do far more than I can imagine. I don’t know when or how He will act, but I trust that He is able to bring about the impossible.
Faith in the Waiting
The key to trusting in God’s impossible power is faith. Faith is not about having certainty in the outcome but about having confidence in the One who holds the outcome. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Faith is believing that even when we cannot see the way forward, God is already working behind the scenes.
I don’t know if the love of my life will return, and that uncertainty can be painful. But I choose to place my faith in God’s ability to work miracles. I believe that He is more than capable of healing what is broken, of restoring what has been lost, and of bringing beauty from ashes. Faith is what allows me to hold on to hope, even when the path ahead is unclear.
Trusting in God’s Timing
Another aspect of trusting in the God of the impossible is recognizing that His timing is different from ours. While we may want immediate answers or solutions, God often works in ways that require us to wait. As we see in Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
God’s timing is always perfect, even when it feels delayed by human standards. He knows what is best for us, and His plans are far greater than anything we can imagine. As hard as it is to wait, I find peace in knowing that God sees the bigger picture. He knows exactly when and how to fulfill His promises, and His timing is always in our best interest.
Resting in the God of Possibilities
The beauty of trusting in the God of the impossible is that we are not limited by our own abilities or circumstances. Where human hands may fail, God’s power prevails. It is written, “For nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37). His name is Impossible because there is no obstacle too great, no situation too hopeless, and no promise too far out of reach for Him to accomplish.
As I continue to wait in uncertainty, I remind myself that my trust is not in human possibilities, but in God’s divine ability to bring about miracles. Even when I cannot see the outcome, I know that He is at work, making a way where there seems to be none.
Conclusion: Trusting the Miracle Worker
In the face of uncertainty and waiting, we need to remember who God is—He is the God of the impossible, the Miracle Worker. Though we may not know how or when His promises will come to pass, we can rest in the assurance that nothing is too difficult for Him. Whether it’s the return of a loved one, a breakthrough, or an unfulfilled dream, God is more than capable of making the impossible possible.
So, let us hold onto faith, trusting that the God of miracles is at work, even in the waiting. Though we may not have all the answers, we can rest in the truth that “with God, everything is possible.” Let that be our source of hope and strength as we continue to trust Him for the fulfillment of His perfect plan.
